reiki

Reiki came into my life when I had my second child. After my first session I slept for 14 hours almost straight. It was the most incredible experience and I was lucky to have the most wonderful Reiki Master, in Scotland where I was living 11 years ago. At that point I was very new to holistic therapies and, being a person who likes to know how everything works, I struggled to just accept. I still do, to an extent, but I have had so many great experiences with Reiki that it is hard to deny it works.

It was an easy decision to take my Reiki level 1 as it would give me the opportunity to practice Reiki on myself. I enjoyed it so much I quickly enrolled on Reiki level 2 and spent several years practising on friends and family. It was another 4 years before I did my Reiki Master training after my move to England.

What can Reiki do for me?

Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing, originating in Japan. There are a variety of benefits from emotional well-being to easing tension and stress and has also been known to reduce pain. It is the perfect way to find an hour for yourself to completely relax and switch off.

What do I need to bring to reiki?

Reiki is performed on a therapy table while you are fully clothed, so it is important to wear something comfortable. Reiki does not involve any physical manipulation and much of the treatment is hands-off. If you have problems lying flat, this can also be accommodated for, please speak to me about this in advance.
